The town of Al Quseir is of a major historical importance. Dating back to Pharaonic times, Queen Hatshepsut launched her naval expeditions from Today, one can still see the many cultural influences in Al Quseir. The Arabic influence in the center of town with the domed tombs of pilgrims who died on their way to, or from Mecca and in the presence of Sultan Selim’s 16th century fortress. The English influence, in the old buildings with wooden balconies surrounding the port. The Bedouin touch, in the narrow streets lined with bazaars.


Al Quseir, has a unique historical feel and should not be missed.
